Our parliament - an architectural gem

On February 18, 2025, my class visited the Austrian Parliament, where we had a guided tour. This gave us the opportunity to gain an insight into the most important rooms and their background stories as well as their use. We were also able to take a look at the interactive stations in the entrance area before and after the tour, which were designed to help us complete a puzzle rally. Finally, we went to the parliament library, where we were allowed to look around, read books and borrow them. What I personally liked were the legislative proposals that we were able to submit at one of the interactive stations. This gave me more sense of the importance of civic interest and co-determination. All in all, I quite enjoyed the trip to our parliament, especially because I think it is very important to know the parliament of the country you live in and to know what it is responsible for. And finally, after the complete make-over the parliament received in recent years it is definitely a place worth visiting.
