Foreign language competition 2023 – ETELTI and Information technology departments After having to sit out the language competition for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it finally took place again on the 24th of February. Vienna’s best students of the foreign languages English, French, Spanish, and Italian competed against each other and gained both lots of experience and appreciation. Monologue/dialogue production, conversational as well as mediation skills were being evaluated.

Three pupils of the technical college HTL Wien West from the ETELTI and IT department took part in the English competition, one candidate for B2 level (Alexander Reiß, 4BHEL) and two candidates for B1 level (Cetin ÖZTÜRK and Armin ZDROBA-FISTEAG, both 2BFITN). All three candidates stated that the competition was a great experience and that they have enjoyed taking part in it, not only because of the challenge but also having the opportunity to get to know students from different types of schools. Furthermore, this experience has been helpful for all three students for their future oral exams. All in all it was a fun and awesome experience!
